Think again...
We called ahead to make a reservation and they said Monday May Bank Holiday is available.
We arrived at 1pm the hotel staff said we can sit outside in the garden area, however it was cast over and cold.
We decided to sit inside.
He then said we can have our lunch sitting at the bar as the restaurant is full and the private is booked for 2pm onwards.
We were not happy to sit at the bar on stools and eat our lunch.
I was looking forward to this as it was my Mum's 60th birthday gift and Mother's day present.
Nice setting, choose somewhere else
Hotel staff knew it was mum's birthday and did not offer anything.
We reluctantly sat at a table knowing we would have to move at 2pm
The private party arrived early so we had to move when a table was available near the bar at 2pm
Not happy with having to play musical chairs in the middle of our meal.
Nice setting, I ordered linguine puttanesca which tasted flavoursome and mum enjoyed the vegan burger.
Chocolate fondant was exquisite but poor organisation.
Despite booking in advance we were disrupted during our meal which hindered the experience
Surprising for the Hyde, to say the least
