About the experience
Burrow down into a Lake District hillside for two nights of underground glamping at The Quiet Site, complete with central heating, a soft 3m x 2m sleeping ledge and a covered patio gazing out over Ullswater. Your grassy retreat is four times larger than a standard camping pod, so you'll have proper room to spread out while birdsong does the talking outside. Wander up to the bar, housed in a building dating back to 1,680, then settle onto the deck chairs as the valley turns golden.
