Choose one of two unforgettable armoured adventures in different locations. In Oxfordshire, climb aboard the mighty 15-tonne GKN Sankey FV432 Armoured Personnel Carrier–complete with turret, machine gun and space for a 12-man crew–and feel its unstoppable power as it storms through a purpose-built off-road course for 20 exhilarating minutes. You’ll bounce, rock and rattle on its caterpillar treads, gaining real insight into the toughness of life inside a tank. Meanwhile, in Northamptonshire, step into the agile 8-tonne Alvis Spartan reconnaissance tank for a thrilling 15-minute passenger ride. With its turret and capacity for a seven-strong crew, the Spartan tears across rugged terrain, giving you a vivid sense of what travelling in a fast military vehicle truly feels like.

What do I need to know?

• Our vouchers are flexible and may be used to select and book an experience from our range via our website
• Your voucher is valid for one person
• Available on selected weekdays and weekends in Oxfordshire – please contact the supplier for exact dates. In Northamptonshire, experiences run Friday to Sunday from April to September
• Please allow up to one hour for the full experience, with 20 minutes of driving time
• Participants must be agile enough to climb up and into the vehicle
• Spectators are welcome. Animals are not allowed at the circuit, with the exception of guide dogs
• Please wear comfortable clothing along with trainers or other flat-soled shoes
• Minimum age: 12 years
• Minimum height: over 1.2 metres
• Maximum weight: 18st
• Those under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult
• Comfortable clothing is advised
• This experience is not suitable for people with epilepsy, heart conditions or those who are pregnant
• When booking, expect to be offered the choice of buying a collision damage waiver at £20 to £40 additional charge. There is no obligation to purchase this optional waiver
• Driving is only ever cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. snow or ice)
• Briefings are held in groups. There may be another passenger sharing the tank, as well as the instructor
