The host was great at explaining everything and very informative. Learnt a lot about coffee on the day and had a great time tasting and creating our own coffee blend.

I bought this experience for our son's 40th birthday and his Dad to enjoy together. They had the best day haven't stopped talking about it ?? They both said what a great bloke Nigel is, so easy to get on with and great at explaining everything. They came home with Chicken Chassaur, veg, Sticky Toffee pudding and a Pumpkin pie with it being Halloween weekend. Would highly recommend this experience.

We both really enjoyed this. Beth was excellent, so knowledgable and a great presenter and host. We picked and ate several plants, and learnt about others which were inedible. We really enjoyed the meal at the end, so interesting to have a dish made including what we’d picked. Would recommend to anyone with an interest in knowing more about foraging.

Brocklebys where great. Easy to contact ( unlike buyagift) and made sure I was given a lower table to work on. The evening was great fun and our pies where amongst the best there (though we are both hands on arty people :-)

Living in the country, I often get offered game for my kitchen, and whilst I like to think of myself as a fairly competent cook, I had never tackled the feathered and furry. A day at The Nigel Brown Cookery Academy soon put that right. A well constructed day course took me from plucking and drawing game birds, through a delicious rabbit pie lunch and on through the afternoon to terrines and butchery. The venue is great, and the school provides everything you will need for the day including a warm welcome and relaxed atmosphere. As you giggle your way through the gutting you'll wonder why you haven't done this before, and as my husband tucked into a pigeon-stuffed pheasant breast for supper, he was thinking the same!
