Fine Dining in the South East

We were originally gifted a voucher for a cream tea, but there was no venue nearby which we fancied, so we swapped it for a Vaasu experience - and it was fabulous. The food is exquisite and the service impeccable....and the great man himself was in the kitchen that day, so we felt very lucky. Excellent value, and the customer service we got when swapping the voucher was excellent.

My mum and I went to Slug & Lettuce in Gunwharf Quays. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Food was really nice too.

Great lunch, beautiful setting, excellent service!

Absolutely amazing day, so much fun and laughter! Food was OK, small portion but tasty, and worth noting the "bottomless" cocktails are available for just over an hour, so we still ended up spending a lot on alcohol, but that was our choice. The staff were attentive and lovely, the performances so good, and the Mistress of Ceremonies was a riot! Really enjoyed our time, thank you!

We were gifted the 4 course meal with glass of wine at Christmas but decided to use it when the weather would be better. The setting is beautiful there was cricket going on in the village. The pub is full of character we loved the riffle candelabra! The food was outstanding I would highly recommend the lobster and prawn cocktail and the duck main was outstanding and the presentation beautiful. Eton mess for dessert - you can’t go wrong! The service as excellent attentive but not annoying. All in all a perfect gift which we loved. Can’t recommend it enough.

My friend and I visited for a 7 course taster lunch menu and we were delighted. Being a hot day we were offered a table in their outside courtyard which is very pleasant. The dishes came out with perfect timing so we had a short break between each, and all were delicious - tasty, with good combinations of spices for the meat, fish or vegetables in the dish. Service was efficient and friendly, and there was a good selection of cocktails, beers, wines and non alcoholic drinks. A thoroughly enjoyable lunch, well worth the hour drive for us to get there, and somewhere I will be glad to return to one day.
