Sparkling Vegan Afternoon Tea for Two at The Hyde at Roseate House Hotel 10794569

Really lovely experience, setting, service and food all excellent.

We really enjoyed the experience. The staff was very welcoming and polite and the food was good. We really enjoyed the scones (maybe in the future could be served with vegan cream?) and the pastries. I would definitely go back for a treat

We phoned the hotel several times to confirm we wanted a vegan afternoon tea but when we arrived we had to wait over an hour for the food to arrive. Other customers were also waiting a while to be served and were clearly getting frustrated at the poor service. When the food did eventually arrive it was actually quite tasty but dampened by the poor service. We refused to pay service charge and left as disappointed customers.

The guy who serves us was lovely however the food was below average, vegan options were very bland and we were seated an hour late

Beautiful Hotel, fantastic service in a very relaxed atmosphere. My only criticism is the choice of cake was very limited. Scones only. But this wouldn't put me off returning.

We booked the vegan afternoon tea after reading all the fantastic reviews and even invited our friends to come with us. We had booked a 5pm slot on 24th March, on arrival we were seated in the very small lounge and no one came to serve us for 30 minutes. Upon taking our tea order, the tea came at 6pm (one hour after we arrived). We had booked the afternoon tea a month prior to the visit and had some special dietary requirements which the waiter was not aware off, therefore, we had to explain all the changes. Sandwiches and very small scones arrived around 6:30ish by that time the tea had gone cold. The food was very nice but quite small portions compared to other afternoon teas we have been to. We asked for fresh tea and then had to ask again as it still hadn't arrived by the time we finished the sandwiches. There was only one member of staff, manning the bar and serving. We complained about service but nothing done, yet the table next to us were given complimentary drinks. On leaving we let the Hotel Manager know that we weren't happy, she said she will contact us, but not heard anything. Based on the customer service received i would not recommend having afternoon tea at this hotel unless you have hours to kill.

Not great. Stale sandwiches and def not vegan. Had to double proof we had right to a glass of sparkly as staff refused stating we had ‘ordinary’ tea originally. Would not recommend.selection of teas was basic. Desserts looked nice but thats all good i can say about that event.

Booking was easy but the taste of the scones and desserts were subpar. The tea was wonderful

We were welcomed into this nice hotel and were served a glass of champagne followed by a good selection of delicious sandwiches, scones and cakes. They also served us an extra pot of tea at the end. I would recommend this experience.

We had a vegan afternoon tea and it was such great quality and value. We were very pleasantly surprised with the variety and the scones were particularly yummy !!
