About the experience
If you are animal mad and love getting up close and interacting with new and exciting animals, this alpaca experience is perfect for you and a fellow animal lover! Nestled on the Derbyshire and Leicestershire border, Charnwood Forest Alpacas is home to a range of premium breed and characterful alpacas, some of which you will be able to interact with as you are partnered up with one of the animal for a 60 minute long walk around the farm. To begin with, you will enjoy a short safety brief and demonstration from the expert alpaca handlers on how to lead these animals. Once you have become acquainted with your new alpaca friend, you can enjoy a walk around the grounds, with plenty of fantastic photo opportunities along the way – so be sure to remember your camera and capture some great memories from the day!
What do I need to know?

A lovely afternoon!
My partner and I went on a 90 minute alpaca walk. The first half an hour was introducing us to the alpacas and a health and safety briefing. The remaining hour consisted of being paired up with your alpaca and taking it on an hour's walk. Lots of fun was had, the alpacas were so entertaining with their individual personalities! Would definitely repeat the experience & recommend to others!

Best birthday gift ever
Went for my alpca walk today 23.7.2023 yes in the rain !! It didn't dampen my spirits, t was bought as a birthday present from my daughter.
Beth was our lovely leader and very informative. I lead "investor" around and fed him half way round. He was gentle and a pleasure to walk. 1 off my bucket list. Afterwards we ate in the chilli bean cafe, food lovely. Would recommend to anyone.

Lovely experience
I bought this experience for my husband for a christmas gift. He thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and professional at all times. The Alpacas were friendly although a little stubborn when it came to walking at times!
