Afternoon Tea for Two at Flamingo Billericay

So easy to use. We enjoyed our food. It was lovely and relaxing

Nice quuet , pleasant tea room Nice choice of sandwiches and cakes

We arrived on time and was standing around while the waiter was chatting to 2 elderly ladies, we waited and waited then I saw my name on a table so we decided to sit down. Then 2 hrs ther ladies arrived and he then finally stopped chatting to seat them, we were ignored. He then proceeded to serve them first and later us which I immediately thought was a bit out of order as we arrived 10 minutes before them and waited patiently, give him a chance. We finally got asked what we would like to drink and I handed him our voucher. It was a long winded wait till we got our afternoon tea placed on our table which immediately I thought this isn’t great looking. The sandwiches were poor… 1 thin wafer slice of ham no mustard or relish just plain. Then we tried the cheese sandwich which was dry! No effort made to make this afternoon tea special. Then the cream was runny and not clotted which we both thought strange, he was nowhere to be seen; never came over to say is everything alright? I would’ve said something!! I finally had had enough and was needing another cup of coffee from the dry cheese sandwich but to my dismay it was too strong and not nice! I left it and we got up to go and then finally he came rushing over only to charge me for my extra cup of undrunk coffee!! My daughter was fuming!! I decided to pay and couldn’t wait to get out of there!! Be warned….

The staff were very friendly and the afternoon tea was lovely.
