Afternoon Tea for Two at Inglewood Manor

Lovely venue with beautiful grounds. The lady at reception was a bit miserable, and only showed enthusiasm when she was waving goodbye to the lady behind us who was removing decorations. The afternoon tea was nice but nothing special. The bread was very fresh but the fillings were mediocre and tasted a bit cheap and processed. The ham was thick sliced but cheap processed. The cheese and onion was a sort of grated cheese spread with caramelised onion. I didn't taste the egg so can't comment. There was another one but couldn't phantom out what it was!!! The cakes were much better with plenty of cream and jam for scones. There were 4 of us. 3 asked for tea and 1 asked for coffee. They brought us a small pot of tea and a large pot of coffee??? You barely got 3 small tea cups out of the pot and we had to ask for more tea twice. The service was ok, the person serving us was very pleasant and helpful but I think they were nervous as they didn't smile once. All in it was a pleasant experience because of the lovely setting but wouldn't go again as the food was cheap and not worth the money.

Not something I would buy for anyone. Checked the price £24.50 a head (I think) Expensive for what we got. Consisted of a few sandwiches and cakes. We were the only ones in there.

Bought afternoon tea for myself and my daughter and we had a lovely time. The place is gorgeous and the afternoon tea was a delight
