About the experience
Thruxton is the fastest circuit in Britain, and you'll take it on twice over: three laps at the wheel of the lively Alpine A110S, then three more in the Audi R8. Things start with a 25-minute briefing and two instructor-driven demonstration laps, so you'll know where the apexes sit before you're let loose on roughly seven miles of fast, sweeping tarmac. The Alpine darts and dances through the corners; the R8, a car that surprised the world's press on launch and won accolades from Jeremy Clarkson, offers a chance to experience its very different character. Driven back-to-back in one session at Andover's legendary circuit, the contrast between the two is impossible to miss.
What do I need to know?

- Drivers must be between 5'0" (152cm) and 6'5" (195cm) tall
- A full valid UK driving licence must be presented on the day; photocopies are not accepted
- The experience lasts approximately two hours
- Long trousers, a long-sleeved top and thin-soled narrow shoes must be worn when driving
- Appropriate outdoor clothing is recommended
- Photos, an in-car DVD and additional laps can be bought on the day, subject to availability

Great experience
What a great day! Well organised with good instruction and safety briefing beforehand. Professional drivers with me were very encouraging and gave me confidence to go faster each lap. There was no pressure to have in car recording or to buy the photos at the end although I would have like to have been able to buy a single photo and not have to have the whole package. Neither was there pressure to buy add on rides as happened at another driving experience.
They have changed the cars from Porsche to an Alpine 6 which was great for me but had not been informed until I arrived but still 5 stars for the package.

Great Experience
Just attended the Porsche vs Audi R8 driving experience at Thruxton and it was absolutely brilliant. The whole event is run extremely well and the instructors are so friendly and really helpful. The event lasted about 2 hours, but I would have loved to carry on all day especially in the R8. Can't wait to go back and try another driving experience at Thruxton.
