About the experience
You can compare two truly special supercars with this driving experience at Thruxton – the fastest circuit in the UK! You’ll start off behind the wheel of the Alpine A110S, before moving on to the Audi R8 - a car that surprised the world's press on its launch and received accolades from driving guru Jeremy Clarkson. With three laps in each car, you’ll have plenty of time to find out what makes these supercars so exciting.
What do I need to know?
- This experience is available on selected weekdays only
- All participants must have a full valid UK driving licence which must be presented on the day (photocopies will not be accepted)
- Minimum age is 17 years
- Minimum height is 5 ft / 152cm and maximum height 6 ft 5 in / 195cm
- You'll be spending a lot of time outside so wear appropriate clothing but when driving you must wear long trousers, long sleeved top and thin soled narrow shoes
- Please allow approximately two hours at the venue
- All dates are subject to availability
- Photos and in car DVD available to purchase on day, as well as additional laps in cars (subject to availability)

Great experience
What a great day! Well organised with good instruction and safety briefing beforehand. Professional drivers with me were very encouraging and gave me confidence to go faster each lap. There was no pressure to have in car recording or to buy the photos at the end although I would have like to have been able to buy a single photo and not have to have the whole package. Neither was there pressure to buy add on rides as happened at another driving experience.
They have changed the cars from Porsche to an Alpine 6 which was great for me but had not been informed until I arrived but still 5 stars for the package.

Great Experience
Just attended the Porsche vs Audi R8 driving experience at Thruxton and it was absolutely brilliant. The whole event is run extremely well and the instructors are so friendly and really helpful. The event lasted about 2 hours, but I would have loved to carry on all day especially in the R8. Can't wait to go back and try another driving experience at Thruxton.
