Blacksmith Experience Day in Herefordshire for One

Have you always wanted to know what it's like to work as a blacksmith? At Oldfield Forge in Herefordshire, that's exactly what you get to do. Visit this traditional forge and learn the art of this noble and skilled profession. Once you've received a briefing and you're all kitted out with the right equipment, you can get to work on making your own beautiful keepsake. A fully trained expert will be on-hand to offer advice throughout. Take a break for lunch and pack a picnic or choose to order some delicious food in the local area. Discover what it feels like to step into the shoes of a blacksmith. After a successful day at the forge, you can take home your own uniquely crafted piece of ironmongery.

What do I need to know?

• Our vouchers are flexible and may be used to select and book an experience from our range via our website
• Your voucher is valid for one person
• Available week round, year round
• Experience lasts around five hours in total, with four hours spent in the forge and an hour for lunch
• Should you need additional time to finish off making your keepsake, you can spend up to an extra hour doing so
• Please wear fully covering, loose-fitting cotton clothing with old jeans or trousers and all jewellery, skirts, vests, loose cuffs are prohibited
• Long hair must be tied back
• Sturdy boots are recommended and leather aprons will be provided
• Minimum age: 16 years (under 18s need a parent/guardian to sign the personal information form)
• Please advise in advance of any health issues, however minor
• Wheelchair users are welcome, please advise at point of booking
