About the experience
Fire up the forge for a full day of knife making at Phoenix Forge in Carmarthen, Wales, and you'll hammer out two pieces of your own. You'll warm up by shaping a letter opener, learning how the heat, the anvil and the hammer work together under the eye of professional instructors. Then comes the main event: forging a working knife in the steel and shape you choose, so you'll head home with a blade you made from scratch.

Really good experience
Really good day at the forge. Knowledgeable and friendly instructor took the group through making a basic knife step by step. Hard work but we’ll worth it.

Great different gift idea
Changed the day to an axe making workshop. Had a great day with a good group of people. Would definitely visit again. Learnt something new and was surprised at how hard it was to mould the metal. William was great, helpful and encouraging to all.
Would definitely visit again for another workshop.
