About the experience
Enjoy a day out with a difference with a horse drawn carriage ride for two people, accompanied by a delicious cream tea. You’ll start off in the village of Skipwith, Yorkshire, before embarking on a one-hour carriage ride through a stunning private country Estate, pulled by a mighty carriage horse. Take in the views as you ride along woodland tracks and country lanes – you might even catch a glimpse of deer or buzzards through the trees! For an added treat, this experience includes a scrumptious cream tea for two, to be eaten either inside the carriage or outside in the ancient woodland. Tuck into a selection of freshly baked fruit scones, clotted cream all topped off with your choice of Yorkshire tea, fruit tea or coffee.

Lovely Carriage Ride
Lovely carriage ride with two rescued ponies. Cream tea for two was blooming lovely all be it a little messy with paper plate and plastic knife but nevertheless blooming lovely. The hosts were great and very friendly

Best gift ever!
This gift experience was perfect for me as it combined my love of horses and cake!! The horses were very well behaved and the driver was very informative about the business. The grounds of Escrick park are stunning and we will be booking this experience again.

Good but disappointing cream tea
The Carriage ride was good, but the cream tea was very disappointing, Went the voucher was purchase for a Christmas present it stated a delicious cream tea, Savour a selection of sandwiches, cream cakes and fresh fruit scones. It was far from that , a shop brought scones each, portion of jam & butter, pot of cream served on a flimsy paper plate plus 3 strawberries between us
I now see the experience has changed to scrumptious home made scones ,these were not home made scones

- Staff were friendly and knowledgeable
- Horses were very healthy and appeared to be happy and well treated
- Countryside was very beautiful and the experience was very peaceful
Room for improvement
- Ride only lasted 45 minutes instead of the advertised 1 hour.
- Pictures of the carriage and the tea included in the ad aren't accurate.
- Cream tea was very disappointing, 2x supermarket scones, 2x hotel packets of jam, some cream, 2 strawberries, a hot water urn and a collection of supermarket tea and coffee. Advertised as a "selection of scones".
- Advertised of the experience bought directly from the same venue: £75 for the ride, £4.90 pp for cream tea. Total being £84.80 which is significantly cheaper than the price we paid via Buyagift.
Conclusion
- Would not recommend this experience.
