About the experience
Surrounded by acres of magnificent grounds, Peckforton Castle in Cheshire sets the scene for a rip-roaring 4x4 driving experience. Over around one hour, take on an impressive multi-terrain off-road course in a Land Rover or Range Rover, negotiating tough muddy climbs, sudden drops, obstacles and hazards. With a professional instructor alongside, you’ll sharpen technique and experience the incredible capabilities of these iconic vehicles first-hand.
What do I need to know?
- Our vouchers are flexible and may be used to select and book an experience from our range via our website
- Your voucher is valid for one person
- Available Tuesday–Sunday, year round; the centre is closed on Mondays
- Minimum age: 17 years
- The experience lasts around one hour, including a minimum of 15 to 20 minutes driving time
- This is a shared session with two other participants, taking turns to drive; an instructor will be in the vehicle at all times
- Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather such as flooding or high winds, where off-road driving is unsafe; please call the venue if in any doubt
- Spectators are welcome to come along and wait but may not be able to watch the driving
- Dress for the outdoors with stout footwear and a waterproof jacket
- The venue is a British Off Road Driving Association member and most instructors are specially trained by Land Rover
- The venue will do its best to provide your preferred Land Rover or Range Rover model, subject to availability
- Drivers must hold a full manual driving licence with no more than six penalty points and bring it on the day
- All dates are subject to availability

Having the afternoon tea in the castle setting, nestled amongst the woods was fantastic! The tea itself was lovely- very good quality and just the right amount. The service was great- the waitress who was attending to us was friendly and very professional. Would highly recommend.

A beautiful gift to receive - a night in a Castle !
We loved our visit to the Castle for my birthday - we had a champagne afternoon tea, a lovely dinner and then somehow fitted in breakfast too. A fantastic castle and grounds. My opportunity to be a princess for a day !

Myself and my husband attended a afternoon tea at Peckforton Castle on Friday which was bought as a gift for us andit was a brilliant day and the setting is beautiful, the only criticism is the choice of sandwiches as I am a fussy eater and I did enjoy them but everything else was excellent and would recommend it to friends and family
