This overnight break in a cosy Cocoon at Lee Valley is the perfect way to relax and unwind amongst nature! Pack your sleeping bags and prepare for camping fun but with the extra luxuries needed for a comfortable stay. Your cosy Cocoon will have a double bed, Wi-Fi, heating, lighting, a kettle, a fringe and much more, so you’ll feel completely comfortable during your break. Enjoy the peacefulness and traffic-free trails of the 1,000-acre River Lee Country Park, where you can walk or cycle at your pleasure and discover some of the rare wildlife that lives in the park.
What do I need to know?

Lovely, relaxing stay
We had a really lovely stay. We had everything we needed in our cabin and the location was peaceful and felt safe. It was our first time doing any kind of ‘glamping’ and we definitely will again!

A lovely treat!
A fun experience! The cocoon was very cute - basic ( a double bed and a tiny foldaway table and kettle - yes we had electricity including 3 power sockets) but lovely and clean and located in a very pretty tranquil spot. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Perfect for a short break!

A novel experience!
Upon purchasing the voucher it quickly became apparent that of the few locations, finding availability was tricky. The Edmonton campsite was basic with few facilities (although I am not sure what I was expecting from a campsite!). The cocoon itself was as described and expected...power, a light and a couple of camp beds. Had the view been over a beautiful lake it would have been idyllic but instead it looked over the rest of the camp site where entertainment was had sat on the balcony (well, deck) watching people struggling to erect over-complicated tents and making regular trips to the toilet block. An experience was had definitely!

Nice Surroundings, way far from glamping.
Bought this experience as a treat for my partner however, due to the campsite dates availability, we accepted the cocoon pod with 2 single beds, unaware that we downgraded losing 20£ from the voucher face value. When liasing with the campsite staff, nobody mentioned that we were taking a far cheaper accommodation, they just mentioned were 2 separate beds. The campsite staff should have mentioned that not leaving this as a bitter surprise. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and more than one night there would have been a nightmare: the have no mattresses or close to none and they resemble to a camping foldable bed. Not suitable if you choose glamping to stay outdoors but enjoy the comfort. The general maintenance of the cocoon is extremely poor, the floor hadn't seen some cleaning in a while, dust everywhere. The front deck of the cocoon even worse, extremely dirty, the only decent service of the site were the restrooms and probably the only thing regularly cleaned. The campsite has a tiny shop which closes very early and no many amenities, they offer a firepit for hire which is a nice service but is a bit overpriced (20£ per night plus other 17£ for wood and lighting supplies).The only plus is path along the river Lee, which is very enjoyable, especially if sunny. Overall I would say that the experience was ok because of the surroundings but was a very poor glamping.
