About the experience
For a short break filled with amazing scenery and friendly hospitality, two nights spent at Aubrey Park Hotel is certain to impress. Set against a woodland backdrop with nine acres of rolling countryside, the hotel has a heritage dating back to 1287 but has been brought up to date with contemporary décor and furnishings, including stylish and comfortable bedrooms. Just five minutes from Hemel Hempstead and five minutes to historic St Albans, you will find plenty to see and do during your stay, and on the first evening will tuck into a delicious two-course meal from The Brasserie à la carte menu. Very poor experience
Hotel tired with disinterested staff arrived the receptionist was sitting in sight eating her dinner ignored us at 6pm due to traffic problems the room originally allocated had been crossed out we wondered why the room they gave us was the furthest away over looking the M1 it was clean but very hot we opened the window the traffic noise was unbearable so closed it .Then as we were over the main boiler the noise was constant like a jet engine.We were told no other room available and if we wanted dinner to have it now as was fully booked by a conference party.
We stayed there to attend our sons wedding neither of us slept all night due to the boiler noise and heat.
We were told breakfast was served until 10am we arrived at 9am staff were clearing tables and the food was almost gone no clean tea cups everything was a mess the food which was left was cold almost inedible we had a taxi waiting so left.
Complained again when we got back for second night again told in a couldn't care less no alternative room available take or leave it we were exhausted so spent another uncomfortable night repeat pathetic breakfast next morning .
Won't be going back there for sure and despite using buyagift for years won't be in the future.
Don't want a discount want a full refund.

Fabulous weekend away
The staff are fantastic and could not do enough for us. Happy to accommodate us in every way, gluten free toast every morning at breakfast etc with a smile and friendly conversation. Very clean, huge bath towels and close to St Albans. Went to Knebworth for the day which was fabulous as well.

Aubrey Park 2 night stay
Breakfast was average. Bacon over grilled and no white bread. Coffee was lukewarm and had to leave restaurant without dessert having waited over 20minutes without attention. Apparently focus was on a Xmas party the hotel was hosting. The shower controls in room 230 require repairs to get a good balance. During our stay the water temperature was either too hot or excessively cold. Good helpful staff though.

Beautiful setting
Beautiful setting. Staff were polite and efficient. Hotel and rooms were lovely. Obvious signs of guest use, eg scratch on wardrobe but not lots.

Lovely break
My sister and I enjoyed our stay at the Audley Park Hotel although we wouldn’t go there again, such a long walk to our room and up and down stairs to get there carrying our bags. Our evening meal and breakfasts were very good and couldn’t fault the friendly staff. We had a problem with our kettle not working but after 3 reports of the problem we eventually tracked the house manager and got a replacement. Our shower had a problem with a very slow waste water getting away almost flooding the shower cubicle. I felt the hotel needed a refurbishment.
