About the experience
Spend a full day at The Hawking Centre in Kent, getting hands-on with birds of prey under expert guidance. After a welcome tea or coffee and a VIP tour of the centre, head out across the estate to fly a range of owls, hawks, Maggie the vulture and a Chilean eagle to the glove. Watch them sweep through woodland, meadow and formal lawns before enjoying a light buffet lunch. The afternoon brings more flying over the private grounds.
What do I need to know?
- Our vouchers are flexible and may be used to select and book an experience from our range via our website
- Your voucher is valid for one person
- Available week round, year round, excluding national holidays
- Minimum age: 8 years
- Dates fill up quickly, especially in summer; book several weeks in advance and allow longer for popular weekend dates
- Please allow approximately six hours for this experience
- You may bring one spectator for £35, payable on the day directly to the venue, including lunch
- Dress for the outdoors with wellies or walking boots and bring a change of clothes if the weather is very bad
- Don't forget a camera or binoculars
- Please inform the venue of any dietary requirements at the point of booking
- Reasonable fitness is required as the day involves a fair amount of walking over uneven ground; not suitable for wheelchair users or those with limited mobility
- Groups are limited to a maximum of ten people, including an experienced bird of prey handler
- All dates are subject to availability
