Step into the world of falconry at The Hawking Centre in Kent and get hands-on with a remarkable range of birds of prey. You'll start with a coffee, then head out across the estate with a skilled falconer to get acquainted with the birds before taking flight. Fly a small owl through woodlands, then a wood owl or eagle owl across the meadow, before moving on to larger stars. From Maggie the vulture to a resident hawk, each flight brings a new perspective on these majestic hunters.
What do I need to know?
- Our vouchers are flexible and may be used to select and book an experience from our range via our website
- Your voucher is valid for one person
- Available week round, year round, excluding national holidays
- Minimum age: 8 years
- Dates fill up quickly, so book several weeks in advance and allow even longer for popular summer weekend dates
- Sessions are shared with up to ten people per group, including an experienced bird of prey handler
- One spectator is welcome for £25, payable on the day direct to the venue
- Dress for the outdoors with wellies or walking boots
- Bring a change of clothes if the weather is very bad, plus a camera or binoculars
- Reasonable fitness is required as the day involves a fair amount of walking, often over uneven ground
- Not suitable for those with limited mobility
