Spa Day for Two with 60 Minute Treatment and Lunch at QHotels Stratford Manor Hotel - Midweek

I booked this spa package as a birthday treat for my boyfriend. On arrival, we were greeted by reception and asked to complete forms, select our treatments, and choose our lunch. I was disappointed with the lunch options included in the package. Prior to booking, I had viewed the hotel lounge menu, which offered far more appealing choices. The package options were limited to a tuna sandwich, Caesar salad, cauliflower soup, beetroot salad, or margarita pizza. We chose the pizza as the other options were not very appealing. After submitting our forms, we were informed that children’s swimming lessons would be taking place for the first hour. This was not mentioned at the time of booking and significantly affected the relaxing spa experience one would expect from a package costing nearly £300. The changing rooms were overcrowded, and we had to change in a toilet due to lack of space. Our treatments were absolutely fantastic and were the highlight of the day. We were treated by Maisy and another lady, who were exceptional, and we would definitely return for a treatment with them. However, although we booked a 60-minute treatment, we were only offered 50- or 25-minute options by the receptionist, which was confusing. After our treatments, we returned to the pool, but the music playing reduced the calm atmosphere. Lunch was disappointing; the pizza served appeared to be a basic supermarket-quality item, despite being listed at £18 on the lounge menu. I have attached an image for reference. After spending a little more time by the pool, we decided to leave. There was no one at reception when we exited, and after waiting around 10 minutes, we left. Overall, while the treatments were excellent, much of the experience did not meet expectations and would benefit from improvement.
