No air con in rooms Uncomfortable beds Food is average Spa good, would recommend the Swedish back massage. Have to pay additional for robes and slippers. Expensive parking Left early as couldn’t sleep in the room due to there being no air con.

At this time we are all getting more and more stressed at not being able to mingle with friends and relatives. This made this gift experience so much more valued at this time. My husband and I work very hard and lockdown meant more stresses and strains and no relief. This experience helped my husband and I get away from it all safely! The hotel staff and spa staff were incredibly friendly and accomodating and we really were spoiled. Very much appreciated.

The spa was a big run down by massage was amazing! The hotel staff in bar area were quite rude to each other which made the atmosphere awkward! The dinner menu was okay but portion sizes were bad!!!! Room was nice but the shower just dripped out so no power to have a proper one.

Lovely treatments from excellent therapists; lovely meal from friendly staff; quick and easy check-in and out at reception. The room was small but ok, with tea and coffee and nice bathroom products. However, the spa bit was a big disappointment. There is nowhere in the spa to relax on a lounger and read a book/magazine. The relaxation area is in a dark room, otherwise there are only wicker chairs. We were looking forward to using the gym and swimming pool but unfortunately both were out of use due to renovation. I had been told about the pool but not that the gym would also be closed. This was an important part of our visit and why we had chosen the hotel, so a big disappointment.

room wasnt ready on arrival that wasnt an issue we were early and went for afternoon tea which was nice and a good price. staff very good, hotel dated rooms need new furniture but room was large, i had asked if we had a nice room on arrival and was told we have given us an upgrade, thank god for that eh. shower! didnt bother wanted to get wet and this wouldnt have helped. cold water pressure was rubbish so took ages to cool the bath, we had a spa package and the facial was lovely, the spa could do with a bit of tlc, jacuzzi and steam room were great but didnt try the sauna, the pool was freezing, relaxation room was ok but the aroma therapy room was a waste of effort. the menu was awful no chocie, booker basics comes to mind. all in all not the best night away. but cant emphasise enough that the saff were really good. over all we wouldnt go there again the pictures looked good but as in most adverts they were taken when first updated back in the 70s. we were asked if everything had been ok but hadnt got the heart to tell her she was to nice, lol.

The staff are great and make you feel so welcome. So relaxing must do it again. Definitely would go back .
