Initially the process of booking a slot at Exciting Game Birmingham (EGB) using the buyagift voucher was tedious. If you are buying tickets direct from EGB the process is simple. You find an available booking slot, reserve and purchase immediately. If you are using a buyagift voucher this is not possible. You need to find an available slot and email EGB with a request for that date and time and your voucher number. EGB have to manually make the booking their end and claim a 24 hour response time or less, we had to wait 30 hours.
If you are booking weeks ahead this isn't an issue but we were booking 3 days ahead and places were running out fast, without being able to reserve our places in advance there was a strong possibility that our booking wouldn't have been possible if someone online booked the same slot as us. Luckily our requested booking was approved.
The team at EGB were very friendly and informative. This was our first escape room experience so we're a little worried beforehand. The escape room we experienced was "Royal Heist Academy". The room was well made with tons of mysteries to solve, it was harder than we expected but we did manage to escape in the nick of time with a little help that was more than welcome and gave us a great sense of achievement.
We would like to return to EGB to do a different room with jump scares.
We were told we would receive a group photo via email which I wanted to upload here but it has not yet arrived.
