Afternoon Tea in York

Would totally recommend this gift - best afternoon tea ever with wonderful friendly service

Got as a birthday gift... went to our local patisserie and didn't need to book it online , the food was absolutely delicious and staff were very friendly and helpful, definitely recommend ??

Lastingham Grange is the most perfect place to book for an afternoon tea being situated in a prime position in the pretty Yorkshire village of Lastingham. Booking was straightforward and on the day staff were very helpful and courteous while the food and drinks were first class. We were shown into a lovely lounge with comfortable couches and/or chairs and our food was brought to us. There were another 3 groups but the room was big enough so there was plenty of space between tables that conversations could be carried on without causing distraction to other diners. I would certainly recommend this experience.

Our afternoon tea was lovely. After a problem with our venue we were transferred to another one. Didn't quite know where we were going but we found it. The staff couldn't do enough for us. They were very polite.

We had a fantastic day at Shawsgate Vineyard. The tour was extremely informative and the guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. The lunch consisted of cheese, ham, salad and bread with a delicious cheesecake for dessert. There was no choice, but the food was good. The wine tasting involved quite a lot of wine, and we were able to choose a glass of our favourite for lunch - something to consider if you are driving! I would highly recommend this!

Very different from the usual afternoon tea.. Definitely one of the best I've ever had

We used our voucher from buy a gift for a 2 course meal for two, we enjoyed the experience, spotlessly clean, friendly and helpful staff and lovely food, can’t remember when I had a 2 beef burger looking and tasting as good as that,

We were lucky to have the weather on our side - lovely warm sunshine which showed off the magnificent location - stunning country house with absolutely beautiful gardens - sat on the terrace and all we could hear was the birdsong - goat could mot have been friendlier or any more efficient - bottomless tea and coffee and just the right amount of attention to our needs - delicious food, all very fresh, including warm scones. Perfect quintessentially English way to spend a sunny afternoon.
