Birthday gift afternoon tea at Old Swan Hotel
Nice setting & atmosphere. Disappointed with fruit scones as dry, weren’t fresh that day. Otherwise food was nice

Afternoon tea at the Old Swan Hotel.
While the sandwiches, scones and cakes were lovely and appetizing unfortunately the service was disappointing. We arrived in time for our 3 p.m. reservation and were directed to the bar area where a reserved table was made available to us. Our choices of sandwiches were taken and we were served coffees. We then had to wait some 30 minutes before being served with our food. This was only after we pointed out the absence of our food. By then we had finished our coffees and had to ask for 2 glasses of water and more coffee. A disappointing experience which spoiled this gift from our daughter.

Special Treat
For the cost we found the afternoon tea a little disappointing, a lot of cakes, no savoury food and not a lot of imagination with the sandwiches, the tuna looked more like paste and only covered half the bread, we have had much better for less cost. The young man who served us was very polite and attentive and we would definitely give him 10 out of 10
