Blending together the rich flavours of Indian cuisine with the British tradition of finger sandwiches, scones and tea, Taj 51’s Kona restaurant has created the exquisite Jasmine Indian afternoon tea. Take a seat in the contemporary dining room as you enjoy a cup of freshly brewed tea or a delicious masala chai, before tucking in. Savour a delicious range of Indian-inspired dishes, including savoury dhokla sandwiches and pinwheel, followed by sweet bakes, pastries, and saffron and elaichi scones with mango compote and cinnamon clotted cream, for a sweet finishing touch!
What do I need to know?
- Our vouchers are flexible and may be used to select and book an experience from our range via our website
- Your voucher is valid for two people
- Available Friday to Sunday
- Seatings are at 12pm, 2pm or 4pm in Kona Restaurant
- Your experience should be pre booked by phone or email
- The supplier will ask for a credit card upon booking. Your card will not be charged providing you fulfil your reservation. If you fail to show for your booking or cancel less than 48 hours in advance you may incur a no show fee of up to 50% of your booking price per person
- A 12.5% discretionary service charge will be added to your bill
- Please inform the venue of dietary requirements upon booking
- Please bring a physical copy of the voucher to hand to staff on arrival

Surprise Birthday afternoon tea
A lovely afternoon tea at the Taj Hotel in a beautiful surroundings. I booked this as a surprise treat for my husband, and the attentive staff made the experience even more special. The vegetarian options were excellent, the food was generous, delicious and beautifully presented. We also appreciated being able to take the remaining food home.

Lovely Afternoon Tea
The afternoon tea at Taj51 was perhaps the best we have had. The food was all freshly made and delish, sweet Indian treats (the ladoo was our fav!) and the savoury treats has a Indian twist! We will defo visit again. The service was lovely and very attentive, (Pavi Thra was our hostess) and her and the team were very welcoming. Would highly recommend!

Best afternoon tea
The gentleman that walked us down to the afternoon tea entrance was very friendly and informative, then the Afternoon tea itself was detailed and very delicious and we were even given more of our favourite and we get to take the rest home, the service was excellent
