We had a fantastic day at Shawsgate Vineyard. The tour was extremely informative and the guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. The lunch consisted of cheese, ham, salad and bread with a delicious cheesecake for dessert. There was no choice, but the food was good. The wine tasting involved quite a lot of wine, and we were able to choose a glass of our favourite for lunch - something to consider if you are driving! I would highly recommend this!

What a great venue and amazing tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable the history of Holmfirth vinyard and the planting, growing, havesting and turning grape juice into wines. Not to mention the tasting. Also had a fabulous lunch

We got bought this experience for a wedding gift and we had a wonderful afternoon at Chapel Down. The guide was really friendly and informative and the wine tasting delicious! Chapel Down is a very pretty place!

We planned our tour for the Sunday afternoon, having to drive over 2hours one way, this trip was absolutely worth it! The Carr Taylor vineyard we visited was not only a beautiful location, the team of people working there have all been there for over 20 years and they live and breathe the spirit of family run business. So helpful, welcoming and accommodating. We were running late but that wasn’t a problem, our lunch and the tour was swapped round so we didn’t miss out on either. The man walking us around is so knowledgeable and has the answer for all questions possible. Wine tasting was amazing and you can learn a thing or two about the wines! Our lunch was also lovely. Highly recommend the present, it was an awesome afternoon for a couple/family

What a dynamic couple. The tour was delivered with such enthusiasm that left us all feeling excited and happy. Thank you. We had our ‘English sparkling wine!’ For our anniversary dinner that evening. Delicious

This experience was truly wonderful. We were met in the car park and shown to a seating area where we had tea of coffee. We were led into a marquee where the owner explained how the vines are grown and tended which was both entertaining and informative. We were shown around the vineyard to see the various types of grapes growing. We were then led into the winery where the grapes are pressed and the grape juice processed and saw the various vats and bottling machines etc. We then went back to the marquee for the wine tastings which was great - the different flavours really came through. We had a generous ploughman’s lunch followed by a lovely cheesecake. We then went to the shop and purchased a box of wine. It was a really lovely relaxing experience and would thoroughly recommend.
