This experience was truly wonderful. We were met in the car park and shown to a seating area where we had tea of coffee. We were led into a marquee where the owner explained how the vines are grown and tended which was both entertaining and informative. We were shown around the vineyard to see the various types of grapes growing. We were then led into the winery where the grapes are pressed and the grape juice processed and saw the various vats and bottling machines etc. We then went back to the marquee for the wine tastings which was great - the different flavours really came through. We had a generous ploughman’s lunch followed by a lovely cheesecake. We then went to the shop and purchased a box of wine. It was a really lovely relaxing experience and would thoroughly recommend.

This was a gift from our son & daughter in law. We had a lovely informative afternoon, we loved the wine & the afternoon tea. We ended up buying a case of mixed wines

We had a fantastic day at Shawsgate Vineyard. The tour was extremely informative and the guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. The lunch consisted of cheese, ham, salad and bread with a delicious cheesecake for dessert. There was no choice, but the food was good. The wine tasting involved quite a lot of wine, and we were able to choose a glass of our favourite for lunch - something to consider if you are driving! I would highly recommend this!

We loved this place. Ash, who took the tour, was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable. It was an eye-opener for us regarding the trials and tribulations encountered with the weather on those grape vines, as well as issues with the wildlife. I repeat, loved it. His enthusiasm was infectious. Great trip.

Had a wonderful afternoon here. The tour was very interesting and the tasting session was delightful. Tasted samples of wine, beers and liquors which were all very special. Lovely shop and courtyard where you can relax with a glass of wine or purchase food and drink from a van. Thoroughly recommend this place.

Our tour was led by Tom who is extremely knowledgeable and very engaging. The whole experience was first class with Chapeldown wines coupled with delicious English cheese.

Lovely old country house in the lake district, ideal location for afternoon tea! Staff was professional, helpful and really friendly.

My friend and I spent 3 hours at this winery. Loved every minute. The lady guide was so informative and we were amazed at how technical wine and beer brewing is. We especially enjoyed the wine and beer tasting plus cheese and biscuits to soak up the booze.

Great afternoon out, very informative in a relaxed atmosphere. Lovely cheeses paired with amazing wines.
