Most enjoyable gift
Very warm welcome and it was fine for us to have our dog with us. The afternoon tea comprised chips, sausage roll battered fish then onto club sandwich, scones with jam and cream and and a good selection of cakes. Too much for the two of us so the staff provided a doggie box to take home. A very comfortable restaurant overlooking the gardens with Lake Windermere close by. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
One critiscism is the lack of disabled toilet facilities. My wife uses a wheelchair and found the toilet very difficult to access.

Let down
Took over ten phonecalls and numerous emails from myself and my freind to actually contact the venue to book.
We were asked if we wanted to eat inside or outside . We opted out as it was a lovely day. We got a big pot of tea each which was good. There was a wedding starting at 3pm we were then stook in the middle while they cae down to the next table which made us feel really awkward. Noone came and asked if everything was ok. Had to find someone to ask for a box to take some cakes home. We don't do boxes I was told I'll wrap them. We felt in the way the whole time we were there . On travelling an hour home . I opened the caked to see them wrapped in tin foil and all squashed.
We both certainly won't be visiting again.
