About the experience
Settle in at Broadoaks Country House for a traditional afternoon tea for two, with finger sandwiches, fruit scones with cream and preserves, homebaked cakes and a glass of prosecco each. The Victorian house is now a 5-star hotel just outside Windermere, and its MICHELIN-recommended kitchen puts the whole spread together from locally sourced ingredients. Good value for money
We very much enjoyed our afternoon tea which was efficiently served to us in the music room rather than the main restaurant because we had a small dog with us. It was very quiet though with only one other couple having tea so lacked a bit of atmosphere. Food provided in the tea was plentiful and tasty with a good selection of both savoury and sweet offerings.
