About the experience
Settle in for a traditional afternoon tea for two at Broadoaks Country House, with finger sandwiches, fruit scones piled with cream and preserves, and your choice of speciality tea. You'll dine in a MICHELIN-recommended restaurant in the heart of the Lake District, where open fires crackle beside oak-panelled walls and Lake Windermere glitters beyond the glass. Seven acres of landscaped grounds surround the house, so there's every excuse to linger over that last slice of Victoria sponge.

Lovely location
Lovely tea near Windermere but booking it was a little confusing

Would recommend a visit
Parked the car in beautiful grounds and the entrance leading to reception is stunning. Got a lovely warm welcome from the staff but then guided into a disappointing dining area that has room dividers and shuttered windows blocking the beautiful views outside. The afternoon tea was lovely with a good variety of goodies to eat with an option of tea or coffee. Other areas explored like the toilets and the music room are exceptionally well laid out so not sure why the dining area is so plain and underwhelming.

Luxury Afternoon tea
Made to feel welcome on arrival.
Staff friendly.
Afternoon tea was very nice with attention to my husband who does eat cheese.
Plenty of clotted cream and jam for fluffy scones.
