Great Gift
We chose afternoon tea at this excellent tearoom. Proper china crockery enhances the experience. There was plenty of food to eat including cream scones. I fully recommend this venue and the gift was an excellent idea.

Afternoon Tea - Swan House Tea Room Lydney
We used our afternoon tea for 2 voucher at the Swan House Tea Room in Lydney. We were presented with a range of cheese, ham, egg and cucumber (with mint jelly - surprisingly yummy!) on white bread, with crusts cut off. We were offered a choice of around 9 different scones, ranging from sweet to savoury. I had a raspberry and white chocolate one and my husband had a blue cheese one, which came with chutney instead of my cream/jam. We also had a lovely selection of small cakes and a huge pot of tea, with refill offered. Usually we would take something home becuase the tea would be just too much to eat, but we both managed this, feeling satified and not over-stuffed by the end. The Tea Room itself was empty apart from us (we visited late October and the lunchtime rush had passed). The table was laid out with lovely crockery and we were offered an upgrade to precesso afternoon tea, which we declined due to the drive home.

Charming afternoon
A pretty place with a warm welcome. I have never been asked what flavour scone I would like, normally fruit or plain but this took.it to another level. Having opted for lime and coconut we were not disappointed, it was warm and homemade and thoroughly delishious. In fact the hardest decision was which flavour i.e raspberry and white chocolate, honeycombe, cheese and onion (you get the picture).
We had a lovely afternoon and plan to repeat in a few months with some friends, with a nice autumn treat.

An afternoon tea with the best choice ever
The balance of sweet and savoury was spot on with an extensive choice of different scones again both sweet and savoury. Service was prompt and the people very friendly Accessibility by car is good. Would recommend wholeheartedly.
