About the experience
All aboard for a heritage steam train day out for two in the Chiltern Hills, beginning with a breakfast sandwich and a hot drink of your choice to set you up for the ride. You'll settle into a vintage carriage as the engine hisses and puffs its way through 60 minutes of rolling countryside, with the windows framing one green view after another. Afterwards, an e-guided hike leads you out to the calm waters of Old Kilns Lake, a wonderfully slow finish to a day of proper old-fashioned charm.
