About the experience

Nostalgia brought to life
Had a very nice day at Didcot seeing the bygone age of steam in all its finest.
It's interesting to get up close and actually ride on these old feats of engineering. Also great that you can take as many rides as you wish on their short line.
Only negative aspect is that we sat at one station for about 40 minutes without realising the train drivers were on a break. That was probably our fault, but we did not notice any sort of timetable advising when the running times were.
Thankfully the weather was good though

A worthwhile day out
Unexpectedly informative. Lots to see. Shortness of train journey disappointing as just one stop. Poor signage to find it and whilst inside. Tea and cake sitting at cafe not actually on the train. About three hours visit covers it so need to gauge in relation to length of journey to get there.

Great range of steam trains, pity the lines are only 10 minutes long. The day was very hot so didn't help. Much to see. With regard to the cafe, it would be good if someone went to Cranmore railway - East Somerset Railway to see what they offer for cream teas etc. Not 'proper' coffee the cake was nice.
As this was a gift I cannot say if it is good value for money. Would I go again? Yes on a cooler day.
