Cocktail Making Masterclass with Afternoon Tea for Two at MAP Maison

This was so much better than expected . Communication with Heidi about booking the experience and organizing the afternoon tea was excellent and immediate. The venue was a delight , small but beautifully designed with soft lighting and open brickwork and tasteful decoration and we were warmly greeted by all the staff. We were shown to a lovely booth and there was a really good relaxing atmosphere with jazz playing in the background. The ladies looking after us were friendly but professional, extremely attentive but not intrusive and made us feel very welcome. The afternoon tea was delicious with exquisitely made delicate savoury and sweet items that looked so attractive and tasted even better and definitely not the 'run of the mill' sandwiches and cake. We followed this up by moving to the bar where Cameron made the first cocktail giving interesting details about the ingredients. We then made our own cocktails behind the bar which was fun and learned a few more snippets of information. We enjoyed the ambience so much that we stayed on for more cocktails. We were not rushed and I am only sorry that I live 2 hours away because I would definitely be a frequent visitor to spend evenings for food and drink. A really fun and different way to celebrate my birthday and done so well by everyone at Map Maison.

A great afternoon. Lovely place with a really friendly, experienced mixologist. The class was for six and we got on really well with the other two couples, one of whom was at the next table to us for the afternoon tea so we could continue to chat. Tapas afternoon tea also superb - we didn’t leave any! Highly recommend!
