Lovely gift
We had a lovely time at the Clermont hotel, the food was very good and generous portions, venue was stunning, beautiful Victorian architecture with all of the opulence to go with it, great views of London all served with a free bottle of very nice Prosecco. It was a lovely way to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

Not the best!
We were seated in the corner of the conservatory which was lovely, the server brought the menu's choice of three starters Cauliflower soup(it was 96°), Korean chicken or squid i could not eat the sauce on the chicken or Cauliflower and do not like squid, I asked if I could have a bit of bruschetta(which was on the main menu and much less in price) but was told no which was fine as i don't normally eat three courses anyway.
We were brought the drink which was suppose to be sparkling wine they called it Prosecco but it was not it was a cheaper alternative very fizzy. I ordered the fish and chips as a main which had a very crispy thick batter as was very greasy the chips were quite crispy too not very enjoyable i gave all my batter to my husband as he does not mind it.
I chose the chocolate and orange torte for dessert which was lovely, very rich but the blood orange sorbet balanced perfectly with it. We were told the toilets weren't working and had to go two floors down in a lift to the others. Not sure it was worth the money they seem to worry about other things like bringing a box to choose which tea people want when most people want an English breakfast rather than cooking food properly.
