About the experience
Enjoy this birds of prey introduction in Warwickshire with two places at Hatton Country World. You'll begin with an expert-led workshop covering different species, their habits, habitats and conservation, plus the history of falconry and the equipment used for birds in captivity. Owls are not considered true falconry birds, yet they are a popular species to fly or handle. Then the focus moves to the flying arena, where hawks, falcons and owls take free flight as you learn how they’re handled and flown.
What do I need to know?
- Our vouchers are flexible and may be used to select and book an experience from our range via our website
- Your voucher is valid for two people
- Available week round, year round, excluding Christmas
- Minimum age: 13 years; under 16s must be accompanied by an adult
- Please call the venue for a weather check before setting out
- If the experience is cancelled because of bad weather it will be re-booked for an alternative date
- Please arrive at 10.15am for a prompt start at 10.30am
- Please allow approximately three hours at the venue
- A maximum of two spectators per participant are welcome for the price of the Hatton Country World entrance fee, payable direct on the day
- Dress for the outdoors and wear wellies or walking boots, bringing a change of clothes if the weather is bad
- Don't forget your camera and/or a pair of binoculars if you have them
- Although the site is wheelchair-friendly with hard paths, some aspects take place on uneven ground
