Morning Refresh with 25 Minute Treatment for Two at Moonfleet Manor Hotel

From start to finish this 'spa day' was absolutely horrendous, we arrived to some smoothing music being drowned out by the drilling and banging of the builders (appreciate that work needs to be carried out but they could have warned us) There were no tea and coffee stations, not even a water station on site! The waiting area was cold and having had to walk over from the pool in a wet bikini didn't help.. WITH builders walking around at the same time Nothing to lay down on by the pool, had to sit up right on some plastic old chairs - not very relaxing at all The massage was good but would have been better if we could actually enjoy it and not have the banging and drilling at the same time There were flys flying around in the waiting area which is just a bit gross Then we had lunch... we were sat down to eat a few inches away from someone doing some painting and varnishing; the smell was absolutely horrendous and made us feel very sick, there were two rooms to eat, would it not have made sense to seat people in the other room? Then just when we thought things couldnt get any worse; the most half hearted chicken salad came out which consisted of a few lettuce leaves, a brown avocado, no dressing and to top it off, the chicken was so pink i had to send it back.. to be told 'it's meant to be like that' - they did end up cooking it again Couldn't wait to leave and will be expecting my money back. The most hard work and unrelaxing spa day of my life
