Macdonald Portal Hotel is a gorgeous spa retreat nestled in the breathtaking Cheshire countryside. You’ll be warmly welcomed into the spa where a wealth of contemporary facilities awaits. Cosy up in a fluffy robe, towel and slippers and discover the swimming pool, ice room, thermal suite, infrared sauna and feel the invigorating benefits of the changing temperatures and wet and dry amenities. For a healthy dose of me-time, you needn’t look any further.

Gorgeous hotel, pool area inside & out was lovely. Back massage was superb. Afternoon tea was in a corridor which we thought odd & people walking by but actually it was really pretty and ok. The afternoon tea was delicious & nothing was too much trouble. Would def visit again.
