Day out in Greenwich

Great value for an enjoyable day out in Greenwich, visiting all the sights, and including a cream tea at the Cutty Sark. Easy to book and everyone very helpful and pleasant.

Great day out

Our full day of activities started at the Royal Observatory & Greenwich meridian line with lots of information about history of seafaring navigation and time keeping inventions. Wonderful views of London were a bonus. Next visit was to the Queens house where we were given a guided tour with info on the importance of Greenwich in British Royal history. The house is a must for art lovers and we would like to return when there is free flow round the house as there was so much to see in your time given. Finally onto the Cutty Sark for visit and afternoon tea. This was our first visit since the refurbishment and we found the new displays interesting. Afternoon tea was attentively served and very tasty. As a bonus Queens house gave us tickets to the Tudors to Windsors exhibition at the Maritime Museum which rounded off the day. If you are interested in history and art this would be the perfect day out for you.

Disappointing

A bit disappointing. Pass includes 4 museums but two of these are free. Afternoon tea was in a canteen under the keel of the ship. They had separate tables for afternoon tea. Thought it would have been onboard the ship. Afternoon tea not the best. Fish paste sandwich, egg sandwich had no flavour. Positives: loved the Royal Observatory and the Queen’s House (which was free entry). I don’t think it was value for money. It would have been cheaper if you booked it yourself.
