About the experience
Set off solo on the Shakespeare Express for an 11-hour escape filled with scenery and culture. Travelling on a charter Intercity 125 from London Marylebone to Stratford-upon-Avon, you relax in comfortable surroundings as the countryside drifts by. On arrival, enjoy priority entry to Shakespeare’s Birthplace, then spend unhurried time exploring Stratford’s shops, sights and riverside charm before rejoining the train for the journey back.

3rd time lucky
After 2 attempts in the summer, cancelled due to poor weather conditions, it was 3rd time lucky.
The staff were very friendly and helpful on all occasions, and apologetic when cancelled.
The flight was smooth and interesting, going over the sea, over a castle and grounds etc. About 15 minutes into the flight, you take over the controls, under the guidance of the pilot.
