Enjoy a genuinely decadent Christmas experience when you enter the Great Northern Hotel's classic RAILS restaurant. The ideal way to enjoy the season in style is with this sparkling festive afternoon tea for two. Enjoy a beautifully arranged variety of exquisite finger sandwiches, warm scones with cream and jam, and a mix of delectable seasonal sweet delights while you settle into the cosy, luxurious setting. Choose from a selection of aromatic loose-leaf teas to go with your buffet and add a joyful shine to your afternoon by elevating the occasion with a chilled glass of prosecco each.
What do I need to know?
- Your voucher is valid for two people
- This experience is available Thursday to Sunday, 1pm–5pm
- Available year round until 31st December 2025, excluding 25th, 26th and 31st December
- Bookings must be made at least 14 working days in advance and, once confirmed, the package is non-refundable and non-transferable
- You must be 18 or older to consume alcohol; children under 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult
- Vegetarian and vegan options are available
- Not all ingredients are listed on the menu; the total absence of allergens cannot be guaranteed
- Please inform the venue of any dietary requirements or allergies at the point of booking and on the day
- Please bring your voucher on the day to present upon arrival
- The dress code is casual

Really great gift
The afternoon tea at Greenwood’s, was excellent, the staff were very friendly and professional and we were served very quickly. The food was delicious and plenty of it, we had to take some home with us.

Fantastic gift
We had a lovely day at Harlow Carr RHS garden. It was a lot bigger than I was expecting so there was plenty to see. Lots of unusual plants and trees to see and every plant was in good condition.

Worth the wait.
After having a couple of months difficulty redeeming our Buyagift experience, which was thankfully rectified by customer services. We managed to book RHS Bridgewater. It was definitely worth the wait. The grounds are great. The future plans look amazing.
The options for drinks and food were plentiful, albeit there was not that much choice and service was slow.
The shop was not quite as good as we had hoped. Neither was the garden centre. Yes there were some plants and they were quite reasonably priced. But there were not many garden accessories, tools, seeds etc…
That said it was still very much worth a visit and we will return…

Superb day out with excellent afternoon tea
Buy a Gift were easy to deal with. But booking RHS Wisley is a complicated, multi layered, not customer friendly, ridiculous outsourced operation. The actual place, especially the staff, is exceptional so worth the effort but why so long winded. Great visit, great afternoon tea, great parking, great staff, lousy booking system.

Best gift ever received
What a lovely afternoon we had with pleasant and very helpful staff. Food freshly prepared and explained nicely when it arrived at the table what was included on the tea stand. Because it was my birthday I also had an additional tray of 2 cakes decorated. It was an afternoon to remember.
