About the experience

Start your day above the skyline with a trip to The View from The Shard for two. High-speed lifts will whisk you up to the capital’s highest viewing point for sweeping 360-degree scenes, with landmarks like Tower Bridge and St Paul’s in sight. Four digital photos will capture the moment. Then slow things down at Prezzo with an Italian-inspired afternoon tea, from focaccia sandwiches to profiteroles, paired with unlimited hot drinks and a glass of prosecco each.

What do I need to know?

  • Our vouchers are flexible and may be used to select and book an experience from our range via our website
  • You will receive two vouchers; both are valid for two people
  • The View from The Shard:
    • Available week round, year round
    • Minimum age: 4 years
    • Must be booked online at least 24 hours in advance
    • Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult
    • Infants aged 3 years and under go free
    • Your ticket is covered by the View Guarantee: if poor weather affects visibility of key landmarks, then you’ll receive a free return visit directly from the operator
    • The View from The Shard has full wheelchair access
  • Prosecco afternoon tea at Prezzo Italian:
    • Your voucher is valid for a maximum of two people
    • London locations only
    • Available week round, year round, excluding Easter Sunday, Easter Monday, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day and New Year's Eve
    • Minimum age: 18 years
    • Afternoon tea is served between 2pm–5pm
    • Must be reserved online at least 48 hours in advance
    • Buyagift vouchers cannot be used without prebooking
    • A unique code generated at the point of booking must be taken to the restaurant; without it you won’t be able to have your meal
    • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance
    • Afternoon tea food or drink substitutions cannot be made
    • Customers can purchase anything from Prezzo's other menus at an additional cost
    • Please inform the venue of any dietary requirements at the point of booking

Not that good

Was really looking forward to our trip up the Shard but the experience was rather underwhelming. The booking mentioned a digital photo package and a panoramic guide. The digital photo seemed to be offered to everyone on the queue so it didn’t seem particularly unique but most disappointing was that there was no panoramic guide which would have been great to see what the various landmarks were around London. Such a shame

Wonderful gift

The experience was really special, and very easy to book. But we were extremely surprised that we were asked to pay a top up fee! This was a gift and I'm sure our donor did not expect that we would need to pay extra to access the Shard! Nor was any explanation at all given as to why we were required to pay extra in order to claim our gift!
