We had a lovely afternoon for my friends birthday, lovely sandwiches and scones with unlimited coffee, very helpful staff and beautiful surroundings

Disappointed
Service was slow, poor, and not at all proactive, especially as there were only a handful of quests in the room and when we arrived we were the only table due to have afternoon tea. For example, on arrival we were asked if we would like coffees but nothing came, later another member of staff asked what we would like to drink, we explained that we had already ordered and eventually the coffees arrived. We had to wait again until a waiter was in the room to ask for more milk and then wait again for an opportunity to ask for spoons for our Creme Brulee - we were presented with a teaspoon and a soup spoon! We were expecting a Festive Afternoon Tea but we were only served some of the items from that menu. Crusts on some of the sandwiches were certainly not expected. Fortunately we have had much better and convivial afternoon teas elsewhere and consequently we left this venue somewhat disappointed.

Worst afternoon tea ever
This was a gift for myself for my retirement. We left it till Christmas to go because we knew or thought there would be decorations up, Christmas music and a great atmosphere but no. There was a tree as you walked into the hotel and on the table were a few balls which they took away to put the sandwiches etc. There were 4 people there, including myself and husband and instead of spreading us out they put us all on top of each other. You could hear the others eating and we had to whisper because there was no background music and you could hear everything. We were asked to look at the menu but it didn’t really matter as what we were brought wasn’t on the menu. We were not provided with spoons to eat one of the puddings, and no one was about to ask. We only see 2 people, one who seated us and left and then the lady that brought our food. They never came back. I would definitely not recommend Reigate Manor. It was a complete waste of my gift and getting dressed up and going out. To top it off myself and husband ended up with upset stomachs. Definitely a big disappointment.
