About the experience
Sweep through the gilded rooms of Waddesdon Manor in Aylesbury with house and grounds admission for two, plus a sparkling afternoon tea in the Manor Restaurant with a glass of sparkling wine each. Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild built this French chateau-inspired house between 1874 and 1885 to show off his paintings and sculpture, and those treasures still glow against the rich interiors. Then the picturesque gardens call, from the Aviary to the parterre, before you settle in at your table.

60th birthday gift
The afternoon tea was exceptional, the best one we have experienced. The lady that welcomed us was called Yvonne, she is an asset to the restaurant. Very friendly, helpful and very attentive. We were a bit disappointed that we couldn't access some areas as there was something being filmed, there were notices around and several staff members made us aware when we got there, but as this was a fairly expensive treat it was a shame that Waddeson manor didn't inform people who were booked and gave us an option of changing the date.

A Great Gift
It was well worth the visit and afternoon tea was excellent , we both enjoyed our day however we were taken aback when we had to pay £5 for the shuttle bus to the manor & return

Amazing
We visited Waddesdon Manor for a treat. The ground and house are amazing. The volunteers had information coming out of their ears!!
As for the afternoon tea? Out of this world. There was so much choice that there was plenty to pick and swap with each other for the bits we didnt like. We also loved the fact you could try as many different flavours of tea as you wanted with no restrictions.
