Macdonald Hotel Morning Retreat Spa Day with 25 Minute Treatment and Lunch for Two

One of the worst spa experiences I have had. The communication throughout the day was extremely poor, and the whole experience felt dated and impersonal. Treatments appeared to be run on a conveyor-belt basis, with little consideration given to the overall customer experience. Although the treatment was advertised as a particular length, the time allocated did not appear to take into account the consultation with the therapist or the time required to get undressed. As a result, the actual hands-on treatment lasted approximately 20 minutes, which was extremely disappointing. There was no quiet relaxation available after the treatment which I would expect from a spa experience. No herbal teas were offered either; instead only water was provided in a plastic cup, which did not feel particularly relaxing or luxurious. Communication regarding lunch was also very poor. I had to approach reception myself to find out what was happening . The menu was very limited and certainly did not reflect the healthy nutritious food I would expect to be offered as part of a spa day. The soup was bland, and the jacket potato was served with coleslaw that appeared to have been kept under a hot plate, resulting in the coleslaw becoming curdled. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing and fell below the standard I would expect from a spa day. There was very little attention to detail, poor communication, and th experience lacked the relaxation, quality and care that should be at the heart of a spa visit

We arived to find there was an aqua aerobic class starting half an hour into our morning so most of the pool was shut and you couldn’t even sit in the sauna or steam room without hearing the music. The treatment felt very rushed The spa its self was very beautiful and had lots of potential, all staff were very friendly and helpful. Lunch was a very good portion but not healthy after a spa session

Had an amazing spa day at Linden Hall. Facilities fabulous as was the massage and 2 course meal. Highly recommend. A gift I got for one of my best friends birthday
