Did you know that UK has more than 400 vineyards and over 100 wineries? Discover excellent wines with a distinctly English character, on this fascinating tour that debunks myths about wine production and our climate. You will take a 1-2 hour tour of the vineyard and learn about the history of wine production in England, as well as seeing how grapes are grown and harvested on a grand scale. You will also see how the grapes are processed and bottled, to make the rather wonderful finished product that we all know and love. The opportunity to taste the wines produced at the vineyard completes your gourmet experience. Vineyard tour

Really interesting talk about English winemaking and a generous 5 wines to taste. It would have been good to be able to pay extra for the afternoon tea everyone else was having!

Had this experience as a Christmas present. It was amazing.
The knowledge of the vineyard owner Martin was incredible.

This is a surprisingly good little wine tour in Devon where we are given a good history lesson of the vineyard, followed by a walk within the vines.
We are then taken into the wine making room where we are taken through the processes for making each category of wine followed by the tasting of eight different wines.
The day’s completed with a lovely ploughman’s lunch washed down with a wine of your choice from the vineyard.
Definitely worth a visit for wine lovers.

What a beautiful experience. From the drive in to this wonderful part of West Yorkshire, Holmfirth has a home feel. A welcoming warm and interesting tour with afternoon tea was literally the icing on the cake. The only day it rained for weeks put a short cut to the tour around the vineyards,so what a great excuse to go back again!

Enjoyable detailed information on the vines and production of wine from an expert and humorous guide. Good company, nice meal especialy the carrot cake.

It was ok: the tour was rushed and really was just there as a prelim to selling you some wine. But there are worse things to do on a lovely sunny day.

Interesting but not what was expected

This gift was entitled vineyard tour for two. I think the title is misleading, as the visit took place in the winery, we didn't have the opportunity to look at the vineyard at all. We found the talk very interesting and went away with some very nice wine, however, we really would have appreciated some time in the vineyard, hearing about the growing and care of the vines. Especially as we had travelled more than a 100 miles for this trip.

nice wine tasting, ok tour

The tasting itself was fun and the wine very good, and we went on to buy some to take home. The tour included a couple of new and interesting facts, however the guide was very patronising in his style and frankly sexist and painful in his 'humour'. The group was much larger than we expected but this didn't inhibit it in any way as it was very well organised.
