Afternoon Tea in North East England

Would totally recommend this gift - best afternoon tea ever with wonderful friendly service

Got as a birthday gift... went to our local patisserie and didn't need to book it online , the food was absolutely delicious and staff were very friendly and helpful, definitely recommend ??

Lastingham Grange is the most perfect place to book for an afternoon tea being situated in a prime position in the pretty Yorkshire village of Lastingham. Booking was straightforward and on the day staff were very helpful and courteous while the food and drinks were first class. We were shown into a lovely lounge with comfortable couches and/or chairs and our food was brought to us. There were another 3 groups but the room was big enough so there was plenty of space between tables that conversations could be carried on without causing distraction to other diners. I would certainly recommend this experience.

Our afternoon tea was lovely. After a problem with our venue we were transferred to another one. Didn't quite know where we were going but we found it. The staff couldn't do enough for us. They were very polite.

We had a fantastic day at Shawsgate Vineyard. The tour was extremely informative and the guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. The lunch consisted of cheese, ham, salad and bread with a delicious cheesecake for dessert. There was no choice, but the food was good. The wine tasting involved quite a lot of wine, and we were able to choose a glass of our favourite for lunch - something to consider if you are driving! I would highly recommend this!

Easy location to find, the atmosphere was lovely and the food was something else

We used our voucher from buy a gift for a 2 course meal for two, we enjoyed the experience, spotlessly clean, friendly and helpful staff and lovely food, can’t remember when I had a 2 beef burger looking and tasting as good as that,

Very different from the usual afternoon tea.. Definitely one of the best I've ever had

The owner gave us a wonderfully informative and interesting talk about his winemaking journey, followed by a wine tasting with nibbles and then we went for a beautifully fresh and indulgent afternoon tea. I would definitely do this again and it makes a wonderful present for someone

This was our 53rd wedding anniversary and an outing to slug and lettuce, York was chosen. Lovely venue fabulous attentive staff and to top it off a wonderful afternoon tea Would recommend to anyone
