Afternoon Tea in Yorkshire and the Humber

The hotel is lovely, clean bright and welcoming. The staff were cheerful and polite and immediately mentioned that they were aware of the emails that I had earlier sent to them, telling them about my allergies. I gave them a paper, taken from Allergy UK, explaining everything about my BOP allergy, and they were not only interested, because no one had heard of it, but asked if they could print a copy off. They said that they would show it to the chef, but also keep it as future reference for any other sufferers. We were then shown to our table, and the chef, and serving staff had gone the extra mile to make sure everything was correct, even placing different items on my server that they knew I was safe to eat. It was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon tea. It felt so special and the staff were so friendly and welcoming, that we felt like regulars. We will certainly be going back again.

It was a lovely experience on a dismall afternoon in very wet and windy conditions on a Thursday afternoon.

We had a fantastic day at Shawsgate Vineyard. The tour was extremely informative and the guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. The lunch consisted of cheese, ham, salad and bread with a delicious cheesecake for dessert. There was no choice, but the food was good. The wine tasting involved quite a lot of wine, and we were able to choose a glass of our favourite for lunch - something to consider if you are driving! I would highly recommend this!

Very nice afternoon tea in a lovely setting with very friendly service

Afternoon tea at Bagden Hall, courtesy of a Christmas voucher from our daughter. This is the 3rd afternoon tea we've had at Bagden Hall and as usual it was absolutely delicious! Fantastic choice of sandwiches and lovely scones and cakes and friendly service. We're already thinking of booking again.

The table was ready and the staff were attentive from the minute we arrived. The food and drink was lovely. I would definitely recommend.

I took my mum for her birthday and it was delightful. The choice is vast, the quality is superb and the staff were warm, friendly and welcoming. The cakes were not tiny! We had to take some home. It’s very small so you will have to book in advance and it doesn’t open every day. I would go again and would use buy a gift to purchase the voucher again. Wonderful experience.

what a christmas present! We visited the Vineyard in May and we had a brilliant time,it’s unbelievable how fruitful vines can be grown in Holmfirth. The Tour was excellent, explaining all the problems that have to be overcome and the wine production process in laymen’s terms. The wine sampling was spot on and afterwards we had an excellent afternoon tea with the most fabulous views. This Experience was 5 Stars ??
