My wife and I enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing day out and the highlight was a very enjoyable afternoon tea at the idyllic Normanton Park hotel.

A good selection of everything and very fresh apart from scones. View was disappointing.

What a truly wonderful experience, the food was amazing and the staff were very friendly and attentive

What a lovely venue and friendly staff. We had a table overlooking the canal and we were delighted to watch the variety of little wild birds outside. Being a vegetarian does not mean I eat spicy food or fish which is usually the presumption so I did let the young man on reception when we arrived and he was very understanding and met the kitchen know. I have been for a few afternoon teas over the last 8 years and I can say that this one was one of, if not the best, a lovely treat to be able to relax in good company and not be rushed by staff . I highly recommend this venue, set in lovely grounds and will definitely return. The only recommendation I have is that there needs to be more signage to the actual hotel part, we had to ask on the café building but again the staff were great. Overall 10/10
