About the experience
Take to the skies just as the RAF pilots did when training for WWII with this nostalgic 40 minute Tiger Moth flight. This incredible experience will truly take you back to a golden age of aviation as you take the controls of this vintage bi-plane. Your fully qualified and experienced pilot will greet you on arrival and get you kitted up in your flight jacket, leather cap and goggles, ready for some great photo opportunities as you take a wander over to the Tiger Moth. Your pilot will familiarise you with the controls in the cockpit before you both strap yourselves in for takeoff. Once in the air you’ll be treated to a demonstration of the capabilities of this surprisingly manoeuvrable machine as you swoop up with the birds. Then, if your pilot believes you are ready, you can take the controls, under their watchful supervision of course. You’ll hand back controls for landing to complete a most memorable flight.
What do I need to know?

- Minimum age is 14 years, apart from at the West Sussex location where you must be at least 16, however at all locations you must be at least 1.5m/4ft11 tall to participate
- The maximum height is 1.93m/6'4''
- The maximum weight is 102kg/16 stone
- Please note that diabetics may be asked to produce a medical certificate, so please ask the operator upon booking
- If you are pregnant, suffer from epilepsy, fits, severe head injuries, recurrent fainting, giddiness or blackouts, high blood pressure, or heart conditions then it is not recommended that you take part in this experience
- People with disabilities are fully catered for, however please make the operator aware upon booking so relevant plans can be put in place for your day
- You are advised to wear soft soled shoes
- All aircraft are dual controlled and are piloted by experienced and fully qualified pilots
- You are welcome to bring a camera on the day, but please note that they cannot be used inside the cockpit for safety reasons
- Spectators are welcome with 50% off the entrance fee
- Entry for children is free
- A Stampe SV4c is used instead of a Tiger Moth in Gloucestershire, however, the two planes are almost identical
- You are advised to book as early as possible to avoid disappointment
- Due to the age of these aircraft, locations may be subject to change during the year

Tiger moth
Oh what a gift, my husband loves it, said it was the best 60th birthday present ever, would recommend this to anybody who loves Invasion and the frill of anything different that said it would stay with him forever and can't stop talking about it . I love buying my husband a buy a gift present and will do it again .

A wonderful experience
The weather looked doubtful but the early sea mist cleared to reveal a beautiful blue sunny sky. Once dressed in big sheepskin flying jacket I was given a briefing on the controls before climbing in and bouncing across the grass airfield . The instructor warned that it would get loud and it certainly did as we roared along the runway and took off. Once we had climbed to 3000 feet the engine calmed down a bit although you wouldn't say it was quiet. Operating the controls was interesting and a bit emotional thinking of the Spitfire and Hurricane pilots who had trained in this very plane. There was enough time to admire the tiny houses, the meandering rivers and Arundel Castle before returning to base.
It was a wonderful experience that lived up to all expectations.

A great experience with Perry Air at Shoreham, I've flown before but the tiger moth really gives you the true flying experience , can't recommend it highly enough.

60th Birthday Present
Fantastic present from my family, Shoreham Airport was the closest and there was no problem with the booking. loved it so much am going to book another trip. Would definitely recommend the Tiger Moth, you get to fly it too. Weather was perfect. September 5pm
