Great staff, relaxing surroundings and a fabulous massage from Eva. Bargain

I recently had an amazing overnight stay at Chevin Country Park Hotel and Spa in one of their charming woodland cabins. It was a fantastic experience that left me feeling refreshed and relaxed. One thing that really stood out during my stay was the incredible staff. They were friendly, attentive, and made sure that we had everything we needed to have a memorable time. From the moment we arrived, they greeted us warmly and showed genuine care for our comfort. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. They were knowledgeable about the local area and gave us great recommendations for hiking trails. No matter what questions we had or requests we made, they were quick to help and ensure that we were taken care of. I was particularly impressed by the attention to detail shown by the staff. Our cabin was spotlessly clean and they provided any additional amenities we needed without hesitation. Overall, I highly recommend Chevin Country Park Hotel and Spa for a peaceful getaway. We had a lovely stay at chevin although we were surprised how dark the woodland cabins were, we had to have the lights on at all times and the curtains shut as they were a bit of a goldfish bowl . everything was clean except the mould in the bathroom tiles which is probably caused by lack of ventilation in the bathroom. Breakfast was included and we had an evening meal too , all the food was very nice but I thought the main meals were crying out for some veg !! There are lots of places to visit in the surrounding area and the countryside is quite stunning. Ideal place for plane spotting as it must be on a flight path although not a problem as it is only in the day . Really enjoyed our stay and we had a fabulous wedding anniversary.

Was gifted an experience but wasn’t what I wanted to do, so looked over the website and booked this stay. Was a fantastic little getaway in a lovely setting! Would stay there again maybe even for two nights.

Chevin Country Park is a good location to explore the nearby towns of Otley and Ilkley. The scenery is beautiful. The park is located very close to Leeds Bradford Airport so be prepared to hear and see aircraft. The cabins are in blocks of 3 spread around the grounds. They are rustic but functional and the size of a hotel room. Ours was very clean and had a small fridge, microwave and hot drink facilities. The bathroom was clean and there was plenty of hot water. The mattress was incredibly uncomfortable and is in need of replacing which we have fed back to the staff. Note that the walls between cabins are very thin, just wood panels so you can hear neighbours very easily. Unfortunately both nights we had very loud neighbours so hardly slept. The grounds were maintained but it was very wet and muddy so we didn't venture too far on the paths. The main reception area was comfortable with a snug area with comfortable seating. The restaurant was clean and the breakfast was very nice. Both the snug and restaurant led out onto a deck where you could sit and was on 2 levels. The restaurant was busy both nights we stayed but we did not eat there. We didn't use the spa facilities. The main reason we chose this was accommodation was because it was dog friendly. We have 2 small dogs and although the room was small, they had room to move around. You can leave them unattended, which we only did when we went for breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a woodland style venue that is functional and good as a base to see the area this is a good choice. It is not a luxury venue and in terms of a hotel style rating it was a 3 star. We enjoyed it and the noisy neighbours is not the fault of the venue, it is just the design of the cabins. The lodges are detached so are more insulated from outside noise. I would recommend as a budget friendly option for a short stay.

We had cabin 70, one of the furthest from reception - parking space directly outside, which was great. Check in was simple and booked times for breakfast for our two mornings. The weather wasn’t and hadn’t been great, so the grounds were waterlogged in places, so we drove too and from our cabin. The cabin was spacious, a little tired in places, but comfortable. TV, fridge and kettle provided. The big disappointment was the heating - this was provided by a single portable plug in heater, however upon our arrival (early evening) this had not been left on - so it took a very long time to heat the cabin to a reasonable temperature (cold, wet and windy outside). Fantastic location and I am sure in warmer months a great place to be.
